Courtesy of Avemco Insurance, this course is presented free of charge.

This course is designed to explain or refresh the basic concepts of wake turbulence and how to avoid a wake turbulence encounter. It consists of illustrated text material, followed by four interactive activities designed to solidify the principles, links to relative material for further study, and a quiz.

The course, including the quiz, will require about 40 minutes to complete. You may leave the course and return without needing to begin from the start. Satisfactory completion of the course and the quiz is valid for ½ credit for Basic Knowledge 3 in the FAA wings program.

When you complete the course, you will be directed to an online quiz. At the beginning of the quiz, you will be asked to enter the email address that you use to log into your Wings account.
